Grilled teryaki chicken?

So I want to make some teryaki chicken for dinner. I want to know if I can just take the bottle of teryaki sauce that I bought and use that as a marinade or if I have to add ingredients to it. I keep finding things all over the internet that call for marin and wine and I do not have either one of them and I do not plan on going to the store to get any either. I would like to grill my chicken also not bake it. I wasn't sure if the teryaki sauce would be too strong just straight out of the bottle or not. I have never made this before so this is a first time. My Husband and I love anything teryaki so this is something different. Thank you for all the help.
