Do Smith and Wesson handguns hold their value the best?

Are there any special models being offered by any companies that will be worth more down the line? What companies hold the most value? I'm looking to buy a .38 revolver, but am not sure which one to buy. I obviously want something fun to throw lead down range with, but that will also hold it's value as well.
